Size & Fit Guide
Because style begins with the perfect fit.
At ReSee, we understand that sizing is not one-size-fits-all — especially when it comes to vintage and designer fashion. That’s why we take a transparent, thoughtful approach to help you shop with confidence.

Labeled Size Country: As Marked
We display the size country as indicated on the label - whether that’s EU, US, FR, IT, or UK - to respect the designer’s original notation.
Example: A pair of shoes marked “US 9” will be listed as such. We do not automatically convert sizes.

Measurements Matter
Because sizing standards vary across eras and designers, we include precise flat measurements whenever possible. These measurements are taken by our in-house team to give you an accurate sense of fit.
Common garment measurements include:
- Bust / Chest
- Waist
- Hips
- Length
- Shoulders / Sleeves
- Inseam
- Rise / Thigh Width (for pants)
For bags and accessories, you’ll find dimensions like:
- Width × Height × Depth
- Handle drop / strap length
Our Fit Estimate (When Needed)
When a labeled size seems inaccurate, due to vintage cut, tailoring, or absence of a label, our experts provide an estimated fit.
Example: “Label says FR 40, fits closer to a FR 36”
Or: “No size label, estimated to fit a US 4 / EU 36”
This indication appears clearly in the product description. The size of the Model is provided when accurate.
Please consider a 1-3cm natural error in manual measurement

Vintage vs Modern Fit
Vintage garments, especially pre-1990s, often have smaller proportions or specific tailoring styles. A vintage FR 38 may feel like a modern 34 or 36.
That’s why we encourage you to compare our measurements with your own clothes at home.
Fit Notes in the Description
In addition to size and measurements, we often include a short fit comment:
- True to size
- Fitted / tailored
- Oversized fit
- Runs small
- Adjustable (wrap dress, drawstring, etc.)
These insights are based on handling the item directly and knowing the designer's style.
Brand & Era Considerations
Every house has its quirks. Our team considers the specific cut, fabric, and collection year when evaluating a piece. Some brands are known to run small (like Alaïa), others oversized (like early Vetements). We factor this into our fit guidance.
