- An aviation unit of the United States Navy, Fighter Squadron 171 was known as the 'Aces'
- Following re-establishment in 1977, the Aces were deployed on missions throughout the Atlantic and Mediterannean until 1984... completing numerous deployments on the USS Franklin D.Roosevelt.
- Sun-faded patina with signs of time-honored wear (bleaching/light holes) render this piece exceptional.
